ICON Solar House in Minnesota USA by Lucia Ortiz Architect

This great sustainable architecture residential building concept is designed by Lucioa Ortiz Architect. Its a sustainable home design inspiration which has great way to reduce household energy-costs by using a natural power resources from the sun. The ICON Solar House has all the comforts of a traditional home along some of the most advanced technology available on the market today.

On the ICON Solar House, the ridge of the roof is pulled towards the north, which expands the surface area on the southern side. At the same time, the ridge is raised so that the solar panel roof is angled perfectly for maximum sun exposure during the winter, when energy demand is at its peak. In Minnesota, located in the north central section of the US, an angle of 35 degrees to 45 degrees is usually considered ideal for solar collection during the winter.

Sleep on Money Folded Banknote-Shape Pillow

I know fore sure that everybody loves money, and this folded banknote-shape pillow is an amazing idea. To be honest I would love to sleep on a pillow like this …but a 500 euro or 100$ version. The graphics on this pillow is knitted, instead of printed, in five different colors. The pillow cover is custom made using a specialized knit machine. The pillow cover can be easily taken off for washing. {via}

World’s Largest Tree House

Measuring over 100 feet, this colossal tree house beats record after record. The general idea of a small place up in the tree is completely shattered when looking at these pictures. This house has ten stories and it took no less than 15 years to build. Its proud owner-Horace Burgess- says that a divine influence was at the bottom of this, as he is planning to create something that would “never run out of materials”. The place looks rustic and a bit weird, however it is an amazing structure that astonishes the beholder and makes one think nothing is impossible. {via}
